John Conway

Our annual dinner meeting speaker this year will be Professor John Horton Conway from Princeton University. Dr. Conway is famous to computer folks for the "Game of Life," a simple example cellular automata that has been programmed to run on almost every computer. Dr. Conway says his topic will be about "Knots." Dr. Conway is the author of the new book, The Book of Numbers, (Springer-Verlag, 1996).
